Sam joined Montezuma Land Conservancy's Next Generation Advisory Board (NGAB) in April 2024.

He is a fifth generation Coloradan with roots in northern New Mexico.

After graduating from The Colorado College in 2016, Sam pursued a career in digital marketing with organizations including National Public Radio, Outside Magazine, Osprey Packs and most recently, The Nature Conservancy.

Sam and his wife Lauren live in Mancos with their two dogs and cat. He can be found biking at Phil's World, participating in the Montezuma County Writers Group, and hosting a weekly jazz program (La Mesa) at KSJD.

Sam is passionate about public lands stewardship, community engagement and storytelling.
