MLC is a nonprofit conservation organization established in 1998 by a group of local citizens concerned about the rapid loss of local agricultural lands and open space in southwest Colorado. MLC completed its first conservation easement in 1999 and has since protected over 42,000 acres of farm and ranch land, wildlife habitat, and scenic open space across three counties.
New Position Available: Coalition Coordinator
We are excited to announce a new job position available to join our team. We are seeking a highly motivated, creative, and outgoing individual with proven community organizing and youth development skills, for a full-time Coordinator position with the Montezuma Inspire Coalition. The Coalition was recently awarded $1.8 million in funding by Great Outdoors Colorado. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse group of community partners with the shared mission of getting kids outside and providing a wide array of youth engagement programming throughout Montezuma County. This job is a grant funded position with pay and benefits secured for three years with the goal of long-term sustainability.
