Summer is just around the corner and soon it will be time for our annual member picnic. Please save the date and join MLC on June 24th from 11:30 to 3pm. This year we will be on a beautiful conserved property on a lovely meadow along the Dolores River. This 311 acre conserved property, which sits along the spectacular San Juan Skyway, has been in the Truelsen family since the 1940s and was once the location of a thriving fish hatchery. Roaring Fork Creek flows through the property which is surrounded by towering Blue Spruce, red cliffs and several beaver ponds. We’ll get a tour of the property and hear about the history of this beautiful area. After the picnic, many wonderful opportunities for a longer hike are close by.
