Kate Rowan is a first-generation farmer who believes passionately in land access for demographics that historically have been excluded from land ownership. She joined NGAB in February 2024 because she wanted to be more involved in bridging these gaps, especially for women farmers.
Kate grew up in Dolores and is raising her three children on her farm while attending the University of Utah for Writing and Rhetoric Studies. She is involved in several community programs that involve elementary and secondary students, with a particular focus in equine therapy. When not studying or managing children or livestock, Kate loves reading, riding troublesome horses, and hiking with her husband, Adam.
