Ways to Give

Conserving our land and water.
Caring for so much more.

With your support, together we are caring for:

Our Past – by preserving our histories through land conservation and storytelling

Our Future – by educating the next generation about conservation

Our Culture – by protecting the rural, Indigenous, agricultural, and recreational traditions that define the Southwest

Our Community – by making conservation about more than land, but about our connections to both land and each other

The work that MLC does every day would not be possible without our community of supporters. Every day you help to shape the future of our community.

Whether it's through annual membership, monthly Sage Support, or other planned giving, you help us make a difference.

To donate by check, please mail your contribution to:  Montezuma Land Conservancy, PO Box 1522, Cortez, CO 81321

“As a young person who is invested in the longevity of land and community in Montezuma County, donating to and volunteering with MLC is important to me because they are doing great work to protect and conserve land for generations to come. It's vital for all of us to care about the environment that we live in if we want it to support us for future generations.”

Planned Giving

Planned Giving

Two of the simplest ways to leave a legacy gift to Montezuma Land Conservancy (MLC) are through a Beneficiary Form Designation or a bequest in your will or living trust.

By designating MLC as a beneficiary on your bank accounts, IRA, retirement plan, life insurance policy, stock/bonds, or annuity, all or a portion of those assets can be directed to our work, and the legacy you will leave will be seen in protected lands forever.

If you are interested in planned giving to MLC, or if you have already done so, please contact our Deputy Director, Molly Mazel, at 970-565-1664 or molly@montezumaland.org for more information and so we may thank you in your lifetime.
