Camryn Uetz
Stewardship Coordinator
Camryn grew up on the east coast in the Chesapeake Bay region, the largest estuary in the United States. She learned to love the diversity of ecosystems and the need for freshwater as a child. This connection to nature led her out west, where she got her Bachelor of Sciences in Wildlife Biology and Conservation at Western Colorado University.
While attending college, Camryn conducted research on the endangered Gunnison Sage Grouse, a high-elevation Great Blue Heron colony, as well as leading adaptive silviculture research with her university. After graduation, she worked for the US Forest Service by facilitating timber harvests and conducting sustainable management practices.
Now, as the Stewardship Coordinator at Montezuma Land Conservancy she will be focused on fostering and maintaining relationships with property owners of conservation easements. You can find Camryn in her free time boating with her family, cooking without a recipe, gardening, reading, skiing, or helping on the farm.
