Cycling & Salsa Festival

September 12
9:00 am
- 2:30 pm

On Saturday, September 12, two great MLC events unite into one big day of fun and food!

At 9:00am we kick off the day with a group bike ride along scenic gravel roads near Lewis, CO. Hosted by MLC’s Next Generation Advisory Board, this 10-mile ride will pass by multiple farm and ranch properties conserved by MLC. (This ride occurs on the other side of Highway 491 from Fozzie’s Farm. Route map and parking instructions coming soon.)

At 10:30am, a shorter 4-mile ride option will begin and end at Fozzie’s Farm, 19760 Road W, Lewis, CO. While this route is shorter, it features a couple of steep hills.

At 11:30am, after the rides conclude, settle in at Fozzie’s Farm for our second annual Salsa Fest. We’ll be making salsa fresh from the garden, serving up a full lunch feast, and providing fun activities for the whole family including the return of the Salsa Competition. Participants are encouraged to bring their best homemade salsa, or make one for the competition on the spot using ingredients from the farm. The maker of the crowd’s favorite salsa will walk away with the grand prize and the coveted title of 2026 Salsa Champion.

Please SIGN UP TO ATTEND HERE so we have enough ride snacks and Salsa Fest food. Cyclists must also sign a waiver.
