Navajo Spin Off

December 12
8:00 am
- 5:30 pm

For more than a month earlier this year, the fields at Fozzie’s Farm were graced by a flock of 64 sheep and goats who came for some rotational grazing from a coalition of Navajo herders from Teec Nos Pos.

We all enjoyed this partnership so much that on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, from 8am to 5:30pm, some of the herders and sheep will be back for a community event and demonstration of Navajo arts including spinning, weaving, and more.

This event will include a harvesting of a live sheep, butchered according to Navajo cultural tradition, from 8-10am. Starting at 10am, Navajo fiber artists will offer multiple workshops and demonstrations of their crafts. A lunch of traditional foods will be provided.

Please RSVP at this link if you will attend so we may provide enough food and space for all.
