Traditional Harvest Volunteer Planting Day
November 9, 2024
9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Join us for an exciting and rewarding opportunity to get involved with and support MLC’s Traditional Harvest Project (THP) with the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe! On November 9, 2024, we have a goal of planting around 600 native plants and seedlings on sites involved with the THP Road 39 Restoration Project in order to improve plant habitat in areas where private landowner partners are making access to their lands and plant communities available to members of the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe for the traditional harvesting of plants used for ceremonies, medicine, and food sources.
We will be on-site planting from 9am to 3pm on Nov 9. Volunteers may join for the full day or any portion of the day that fits your schedule!
MLC will provide all needed tools and gloves, plus some light snacks and refreshments. Please come prepared for the weather as it may be chilly.
